John Linville Obituary
Brevard, NC
Evangelist John Robert Linville, 63, of Brevard, NC passed away at his home on Monday, September 10, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. A private graveside service was held Tuesday September 11, 2012.
He is predeceased by his parents Rev. Robert Ray and Lucille Linville; and sister, Connie Rhea Vaughan.
John is survived by his wife, Mary Hughes Linville; daughters, Beth Goins and husband Todd, Heather Compton and husband Shannon, Jennifer Serres and husband Jason, Jonlyn Linville and son John Thomas Linville; nine grandchildren, as well as brother, Gene Linville, and sister, Peggy L. Haden.
In 1998 John became an ordained evangelist with Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship. John and his family shared their music ministry locally in churches, nursing homes, etc., as well as across the southeast, the Bahamas, and Canada.
There will be a celebration of life conducted by Pastor Dave Desforge on September 15, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Grace Community Church, 495 Cardinal Rd., Mills River NC 28759
In lieu of flowers, John requested all donations be given to Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship, River Bend Camp, C/O P.O. Box 1931, Brevard, NC 28712 or Dayspring Camp and Conference Center, P.O. Box 442,Fairmont, WV 26555

Such a blessing to hear him and the family praising and worshiping at church. We have missed that and will miss him. So glad for him to be released into his heavenly home. We are keeping you all in our prayers.

So very sorry to have read of John's death.I'm ten years older than him but went to Taylors Schools with his brother and sisters.I have fond memories of the Linville Family.May God bless each of you.
