Josh Hagen Obituary
Born July 27, 1977 in Greenville, he was the son of Steve and Linda Bond Hagen.
Josh was a 1995 graduate of Abbeville High School. He attended Clemson University and was a 2003 graduate of Lander University with a BS in Psychology.
Josh was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Greenwood and a former member of Main St. United Methodist Church, Abbeville. While attending St. Mark, Josh participated in several Bible studies and completed Disciple I and Disciple The Prophets.
Josh enjoyed volunteering at Self Regional Healthcare, Greenwood Soup Kitchen, Greenwood Humane Society, and Hospice Care of the Piedmont.
Josh was a faithful Clemson Tiger Fan and enjoyed many games with his brother, Matthew and Granddaddy, Mac. He loved the arts, especially music, movies, and reading. Josh will be remembered for his love of family and animals, great sense of humor, his kind, gentle spirit, and his big heart for helping other people in need.
Survivors are his parents of the home; brother Matthew "Matt" Hagen of the home; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Harper and Mary Alice Hagen, Jr. of Abbeville; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Mac and Jean Bond of Greenwood; Aunt Debbie Tadlock of Thomasville, Alabama; aunt & uncle, Dr. & Mrs. Tom Bond of Asheville, N.C.; aunt & uncle, Gina and Frankie Stone; aunt & uncle, Mary Carlton and Greg Hurt of North Augusta, S.C.; and nine cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. in Main St. United Methodist Church. The burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home 108 Kensington Drive, Greenwood, SC 29649.
Josh is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday evening.
