Larry McCartney Obituary

Larry Paul McCartney, 72, of Greer, SC, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010.
Born in Charleston, WV, he was preceded in death by his parents, Page and Maysel McCartney. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Neal McCartney; sons, Jeffrey McCartney and his wife, Janet, and Joseph McCartney and his wife Amanda; two brothers, Rick and Phil McCartney; a sister, Elaine Barker; and five grandchildren, Megan, Ashton, Erik, Page and Macy McCartney.
He was a graduate of West Virginia State College with a bachelor's degree in Education. He later obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Charleston.
He was a longtime employee of Intex Products in Greenville, SC, where he developed "Grease Relief," which was distributed nationwide. He was awarded a patent for "Ambient Temperature Phosphate Conversion Coating." Larry also worked at EZE Products in Greer, SC, where he became vice president.
He was a faithful member of Taylors Church of Christ in Taylors, SC.
Larry lived with character, faithfulness and strength. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. today, September 13, 2010 at Taylors Church Christ.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylors Church of Christ, PO Box 506, Taylors, SC 29687.

Sorry to hear of Larry's passing but it was really a home going for him. I pray that your family feels the comfort only God can give. I worked with Larry at EZE Products for 5 years.
