Libby McCall Obituary

Elizabeth "Libby" Moore McCall, 79, widow of Charles Floyd McCall, of 10 Magnolia Crest Drive, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at NHC of Mauldin after a brief illness.

Mrs. McCall was born in Rockingham County, N.C., to the late Henry Clay Moore and Elizabeth Taylor Walker Moore. She was raised at Elon Children's Home and attended Elon College. She started her over 40-year career in banking at the People's Bank in Greenville, and retired as a customer service representative from NCNB in Mauldin.

She was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church in Fountain Inn, where she was very active. She dedicated her retirement years to helping others, being an active blood donor, doing Meals-on-Wheels for the elderly and enjoying her many exercise programs and the many social functions she shared with friends.

Libby will be missed by the many friends who loved her, and her special friends, Diane and Dewey Cox; and a special nephew, Don Davis.

Surviving are a son, Carl McCall and his wife, Katrena, of Walterboro; a granddaughter, Allyson McCall of Walterboro; a brother, Henry Moore and his wife, Betty, of Elon, N.C.; and a sister, Katherine Brown and her husband, Dee, of Summerville, N.C. She was predeceased by a brother, Herman Lewis Moore.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn, officiated by Rev. Peter Spink. Special music will be provided by Mark Fincher. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at Springwood Cemetery in Greenville.
