Marilyn Brunner Tessitore, 87, wife of John L. Tessitore, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Margaret Brunner.

Mrs. Tessitore was a homemaker, a registered nurse, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, John; four children, Aristide "Ty" Tessitore and wife Jennifer, John Tessitore and wife Dolores, Susan Ristau and husband Stephen, and Thomas Tessitore and wife Monica; grandchildren, Heather Stevens, Jason Tessitore, Amy Consiglio, Meghan Tessitore, Abigail Tessitore, Benjamin and Aris Ristau, Gabriela Tessitore; and great grandchildren, Zachary and Spenser Stevens and Addison Consiglio.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic School Building Fund, 309 Gower St., Greenville, SC 29611.
