Richard Reynolds Obituary

Richard "R.C" Reynolds, 82, of 19 Roberta Dr., Greenville, died Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Union County, he was the son of the late Rufus and Bessie Kitchens Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds was twice married to the late Sarah Phillips Reynolds and the late Annie Lou Knight Reynolds.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Mr. Reynolds was employed with Attaway Eastland Pontiac before opening R.C. Automatic Transmission. He was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.

Mr. Reynolds was an active member of the Hejaz Shrine. He served in various capacities including: Past Potentate of the Hejaz Temple, Past President of Southeastern Shrine Association, and Past President of the Greenville Shrine Club.

Surviving are one stepson, Charles "Chuck" Crawford, Jr. and wife Angie of Pelzer; one grandson, Richard "Ben" Crawford; and one sister, Evelyn Austin of Greenville.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Louise Watson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Burial to follow the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.

The family is at the home of Chuck Crawford, 206 Waycross Church Rd., Pelzer, SC 29669.
