Robert Carson Obituary
Travelers Rest
Robert Earle "Bobby" Carson, Sr., 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2016.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Lloyd D. Carson, Sr. and Beulah Long Carson. Bobby served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Western Electric/AT&T after 32 years of service. He was a member of Cooper Lodge #282, A.F.M., Hejaz Shrine Club and Edgewood Church of Christ.
Surviving is his wife of 10 years, Jean Bryant Moody Carson; daughter: Mona (Jerry) Minter; sons: Mark (Shirley) Carson and James "J.B." Carson; sister: Jane Carson; brothers: Carroll (Nancy) Carson and Lloyd (Betty) Carson, Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his first wife, Margie Jane Batson Carson and a son, Robert E. Carson, Jr.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in The Howze Mortuary Chapel.
Burial will be at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC at 2:00 p.m.
The family will be at the home.

We are out of town and just learned of Bob's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy. I was really surprised to hear of his passing since I just saw him at our retiree breakfast a couple of weeks ago. He was a super friend to me and we had a lot of fun together. Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
