Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Robert Heaton will be held at 1:00 pm Monday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at the mortuary. Burial with military honors will be at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

Robert Wayne Heaton, 62, of 117 Lewann Lane, died Thursday at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Lewann Noble Heaton and a son of the late Pinckney Arle Heaton and Mary Frances Dixie Heaton of Easley. He was retired from the J.P. Stevens Parker Plant and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a daughter, Tracy Floyd of Six Mile; two sons, Robert Samuel Heaton and Matthew Brian Heaton and his wife Shannon all of Six Mile; a sister, Carolyn Rumfelt and her husband Jim of Fountain Inn; a brother, Donald Heaton and his wife Joyce of Easley; and eight grandchildren.
