Robert "Bob" Sutton Svoboda, 85, beloved husband of the late Patricia Anne Conover Svoboda, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at home surrounded by family and close friends.
Born in Detroit, MI, on August 8, 1929, Bob was the son of the late John Walter and Nellie Alice Sutton Svoboda.
Bob worked for over 30 years at Ford Motor Credit Company where he retired as the Vice President of European Credit Operations in 1989.
During his life, Bob had the opportunity to travel to many countries and was a valued friend and colleague. He enjoyed golf, woodworking and the companionship of his devoted dog, Anna.
He is survived by his five children; sixteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Jean Berner of Charleston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Associations, or the Humane Society.
