Robert Tolen Obituary
A son of Franklin Tolen and the late Dora Lee Johnson Tolen, he was a graduate of Sanders High School, a self-employed brick mason and he attended New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Fuller Tolen of the home; a son, Travis Tolen of the home; three daughters, Carolyn Rhome of Simpsonville, Barbara Lisa Tolen, Doris Elaine Tolen of the home; three brothers, Gary Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., Darrol Tolen of Charlotte, N.C., Bruce Tolen of Germany; four sisters, Julia Jackson of Atlanta, Ga., Miriam Tolen Hartsell of Charlotte, N.C., Deborah Tolen, Sharon Tolen of Simpsonville; his father, Franklin Tolen of Simpsonville; and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the C.D. Beasley Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Memorial Garden. The family is at the home.
