Rowena Joyce Obituary
Easley
Mrs. Rowena Bernice Dryman Joyce, 75, wife of Charles Donnye Joyce, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at her home.
Born in Franklin, NC, a daughter of the late Fred Wilson Dryman and the late Emma Hopkins Dryman, Mrs. Joyce retired from the GHS Cancer Institute and was a member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-six years, are a son, Charles T. Joyce (Wenona) of Greenville; two daughters, Donna R. Joyce of Harlem, GA, and Cheryl J. Boucher (Robert) of N. Augusta, SC; three sisters, Beatrice Schwabe (Chuck) of Austin, TX, Betty Vinson (Denver), and Jean Owens (Homer), all of Franklin, NC; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Easley, SC at a later date.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Walt Roberts, Dr. Jeannette Wilcox, Dr. Carla Jorgensen, Lu Ann Harris, NP and her two angels Karlee Benson, RN and Heather Vance, RN for the love and care they have provided for Mrs. Joyce.
Memorials may be made to St. Michaels Episcopal Church, 1200 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, which is assisting the family.

Rowena is as beautiful today as when I met Her almost thirty eight years ago.
She is my Son's Grandmother.
I will be always grateful for what She and Mr. Joyce instilled in Chris.

Rowena is one of the most genuinely kind and loving persons I have ever been honored to meet. I use the word is, instead of was because she is more alive today than she ever was. Rowena now walks the streets of Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua). She is at peace with the Prince of Peace (Sar Shalom). I know one day soon she will be there to greet Her loving husband, Donny and her family and friends when we enter into the " Rest" Jesus promised. Until then, I pray for peace and comfort to all that Love her.

Rowena's genuine care and concern for others even as she was fighting her own battle was inspiring. The love and mutual respect she and Donnie shared is what I strive for in my own life. We will miss you but I'm glad you are healed and walking with Jesus.

So many memories of working with her at the Charleston VA. Of listening to her stories of her children, she was my work mother and offered her ear to me often. She will be missed.
