I was hired by John in 1980 at NL. I only worked for him a short time but a strong bond was formed. Years later I joined Sedgwick at his suggestion. John stayed in touch over the years and was always interested in our career. I enjoyed a few annual lunches with him and Rich at the Homestead in Greenwich. John was one of the brightest minds in the risk management world. RIP John and mine and Tricia´s condolences to Rose and family.
