Barbara Dinoia

BARBARA DINOIA - passed away peacefully at Greenwich Hospital on Thursday, January 18th following a valiant five-year struggle with breast cancer. She was a long-time resident of Port Chester, NY.

Barbara was born on October 13, 1958 in Sleepy Hollow, NY. She was a graduate of Ossinning High School in Ossinning, NY and the Unversity of Vermont. Barbara was the office manager for the Dickerman F. Hollister, Jr. Oncology Practice and ultimately, the Hematology & Oncology Associates of Greenwich for over twenty years. She was deeply devoted to a love of sun and sea, her dogs, and photography, which she artfully combined into a remarkable photography collection.

She is survived by her parents, Rita and Manny DiNoia of Old Saybrook, CT; her sister and brother-in-law, Ruthanne and Jay Rothman, also of Old Saybrook, CT; her borther and sister-in-law, Greg and Karen DiNoia of Mullica Hill, NJ; her brother Tim of Homosassa, Florida; and eleven nieces and nephews.

A gathering in her honor will be held at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT on Tuesday, January 23rd from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Bendheim Cancer Center of Greenwich Hospital, 77 Lafayette Street, Greenwich, CT 06830. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
