Mr. Tosches was my principal. The year was 1981 when I graduated. But before that he would always say to me Yolanda get to class. I learned discipline . I loved the care he showed me. May he rest in peace.

God Bless Mr Tosches. Our Principal my junior and senior year. Great leader, Coach and always had time to talk with the students. Had many laughs and conversations on football and politics in the WHS courtyard. And I cannot thank you and Steve enough for all of your help. Tom Hardiman Class of `81

My deepest sympathy to the entire Toshes family for the loss of your father. I'm forever indebted to him for hiring me to be a Physical Education Teacher for the Stamford Public Schools. He did so much good for the Stamford community and was a strong advocate for the sports programs throughout Fairfield County. He had the ability to make everyone he met feel welcomed. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

"Never show up or embarrass your opponent " "You win with dignity and you lose with dignity " Those are just two of the things that I remember from Mr Tosches. A class act that we all were lucky enough to know. Stamford High School Class of 1968

Marcia taught at Westhill when he was principal there. He will long be remembered and greatly missed. Maria

Although this is very sad news, Mr Tosches clearly lived a long and meaningful life of service. He was a mentor and role model to many generations of students and teachers and was, without question, one of the truly great educators this city has seen. He was a man of integrity and strong moral convictions and anyone who was lucky enough to work with him, was forever influenced by him.

Dear Susan, Cindy and family, I am so sad to hear of your dad´s passing. I remember your family from the days of Westwood Rd. and remember your dad with genuine fondness. He was such a genteel man with very few words, but oh, so determined. My last memory was recently when I got to see him at Stew Leonard´s where he was having a great time! Your family took very good care of him and you should be very proud.
With sympathy,

I will alway be grateful to Carm for taking a risk 45 years ago, and letting a 26 year old who was not in the education system, be the head coach of the Rippowam High boys hockey team.
Carm stood behind our bench the first game I coached. Rip won the game, it´s second victory in the programs history. I know Carm was relieved, and so was I.
I have never forgotten what he did for me and never will.

During my 42 years of teaching in Stamford, I worked with many administrators, but Carmine was the only true standout as a principal. Carmine respected his teachers, and they loved and respected him. I could not have asked for, nor found, a better man to work with than Carmine, he was a gentleman, a leader, and a friend. My sincere condolences to his family.
