Dear Serge,
I am very sorry to learn of the death of Claudette. I recollect that your daughters baby sat for us in the early 1970s when we too were living in Tokyo. Please accept our condolences.
I trust it is OK that I send this sad news to George Evans. I am in frequent conversation with him.
If there is a local funeral service for Claudette I would be pleased to attend.
Otherwise I may see you at the town Hall Bastille day ceremony....
Best,
Fred Baker WTAC
