Our sincere condolences to Guy and Danielle. Your Dad, Dr. Cote, was always fun and witty and as you noted impeccably dressed! My Dad, Dr Slagle, was a good friend and my mom, Nancy, also a good friend of your mom. We hope the care from others and the memories help you through the tough times dealing with your loss. I came across this while trying to reconnect my mom with Danielle and would welcome a reply so we may connect.

Guy & Danielle, so sorry for your loss. Your parents were wonderful people, great neighbors and friends with my parents. Dr. Cote was also our family orthodontist. I remember riding my bike down by the triangle as he came home from work. He would often stop and have me bite for him so he could see how his handiwork was progressing. Just a wonderful friendly and kind man. I know you have many special memories of both your Mom and Dad to treasure.

When I started practicing dentistry in 1976 and moved back to Greenwich Earle was very welcoming and supportive to me and my wife. He was a great guy and a real character. A great life lived ! God bless you Earle.

Danielle,
My condolences to you and Guy and families. He's was one of the greats!!! I met him my very first day at Stanwich in May of '72 when I caddied for his partner Dr Walter Reiss in the member/member. Got to play lots of golf with him over the years, as our memberships overlapped by close to 4 decades. A true gentleman! Barb and I send our thoughts and prayers.

Like others, I have such vivid memories of going to Dr. Cote's office in the 1970s. WCBS on the radio, the fun staff...it was simply the best place to be if you needed braces.

Having worked for "DOC" as we affectionately called him, for 16 years, I will miss my visits with him in recent years while he enjoyed residents & a plethora of classes & activities at The Atria in Darien. His birthday each Dec., was a highlight. He loved increasing the education of his staff with trips to orthodontic conventions where he generously wined & dined us taking in musicals & other entertainment. "Doc" would be a `hard act to follow!´

Earle was my first boss in Greenwich, Ct. I stayed in that office well after he sold it, a total of 39 years. We stayed friends, and I saw him soften as he learned his life lessons. He got sweeter as the years past and still loved a party. Cheers to you Doc, thank you for spending your time on earth with me. Pray for us as we will pray for you. Sending love to your family, Patty Fisher

I remember him as my orthodontist..100 years ago! The gorilla I sat on in his office and Sharon with whom I still speak with on occasion. My top teeth are still as straight as when he did them! May he rest in Peace !
