Ignacio Albistur Obituary
Ignacio Albistur, of Greenwich, passed away August 18, 2022, at age 89. He was born in Pamplona, Spain on May 31, 1933 to Agustin and Josefa Albistur. He came to the United States in 1967 but returned to his native home many times over the years to visit his family. Ignacio worked for Pitney Bowes for 18 years as well as owning his own landscaping business. He enjoyed traveling, making homemade wine and his signature paellas that everyone loved. His family describes him as a man who could fix anything. Ignacio is the devoted husband of Esther, the cherished father of Steven Albistur (Daniel) and Wendy Albistur Grossman (Marc) and dear grandfather of Alexandra and Samantha. To honor his life, family and friends will gather on Friday 4-8 p.m. at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich, 203-869-5968. Funeral Mass Saturday 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Byram followed by private committal.
