Jennie Nunes Obituary
Jennie will long be remembered for her involvement in the Shubert Theatre, which she and her husband, Morris A. Nunes, transformed from a dark theatre into the preeminent pre-Broadway theater in the country, opening shows including " Oklahoma!, "
"South Pacific," " Carousel," "Pajama Game, " and "State of the Union."
She loved the excitement of opening night and spent many hours in her later years regaling friends and family with stories about the theater and personalities who appeared there. Jennie was predeceased by her husband , Morris, and her son , Mickey.
Jennie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jane Perry and her husband, Bernie, her grandchildren Barbara Bind, of Stamford; Marjorie Perry of Tenafly, NJ ,Cynthia Eisen of Moorestown, NJ; Maury Nunes, of Cabin John, MD and Sandy Ross of Cary, NC and her great-grandchildren Rebecca Bind, Rachel and Zachary Fagiano, Perry and Elyse Eisen, Ryan and McKenzie Nunes and Mickella and Jarrett Ross.
