He started out as my trainer 20+ years ago at NYSC, helping me prep for my one & only marathon! He became my dear friend, with whom I laughed with, confided in, worked out with, learned from & most of all adored. I am blessed to have known him & miss him every day. My deepest condolences to the Telerico family.

He was the best. Kind, motivated, organized and INCLUSIVE. From the editor of our "Gator Tales" yearbook at EJHS to class president at GHS. Chip had SUCH a huge heart. I SO love that we reconnected in the past few years here in Old Greenwich and will miss him dearly. The "Senior Class Presidents" plaques dating back to 1971 we're dedicating this spring will be a lasting memorial at GHS to Sam and will also recognize ALL class presidents past and future for their hard work. He would be proud I think....

Always loved Chip, first as a student when I worked at GHS. He was acting out one day and I asked him his name. He replied "John Doe," and ever after I never let him forget thatI Great smile, smart, athletic, good friend to all, handsome as they come. Such a tragic accident and a great loss. Our deepest sympathy to Gail and Sam and all the family. Gail and Peter Wilson

Sam will never be forgotten. One of my very best friends growing up & we always touched base on our September birthdays & grabbed coffee to catch up. Sam had a heart of gold & was always there for everyone. I'll be joining online & watching every minute of the beautiful tributes. Thank you for being such a kind, loving soul, Sam. Our GHS Class of '84 will always thank you for keeping us connected.

A noble soul is measured by the hearts it guides toward love and kindness. Through his compassion, dedication, forgiveness, and unwavering love, Sammy inspired me to strive to be a better person. I feel truly blessed to have known him. He was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a loyal friend whose spirit will forever remain with me.

Sam was my friend/trainer for many years at NY Sports Club. He was knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. We had stimulating conversations covering a variety of topics, but mostly local, national, and international politics. I would look forward to our sessions they were physically and mentally challenging. I have missed him ever since the NY Sports Club closed and it would m ake my day when I ran into him around town.
