Sean Marino
Sean Patrick Marino, age 48 died suddenly on November 15, 2017 in Boulder, CO. He was born on January 18, 1969 in Cambridge, MA. He grew up in Greenwich, CT attending local schools. Those of you who knew Sean, knew he was quick with a joke, incredibly charming, generous, and it was a joy to be in his company. He was a golden little boy and an untamable adult. He was an impossible flirt. He was happiest in wide open Colorado spaces and tropical beaches on some adventure. Preferably in the company of friends, which he never was in short supply of. His charisma was unmatched. He was a much loved father, son, brother, and friend. He was one of a kind and will be terribly missed. He is survived by his son Parker Glow-Marino, parents Dr. A Michael and Faye Marino; sister Michele Franchella; and sister Jennifer Robarge.
A visitation will be on Monday, November 20 from 4-7pm at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place in Boulder, CO.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 21 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus church, 1318 Mapleton Ave. in Boulder followed by interment then a reception.

Marino family, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Sean. I met Sean as a 9 yr old at Burning Tree Country club in Greenwich and we continued to be friends through our time at Greenwich high school.
Sean was always full of positive energy and we couldn't have had a more fun upbringing in CT. So happy to see that he found a home in Boulder that allowed him to be among nature and unleash his free spirit. RIP Seaner...

I met Sean at the North Boulder Rec Center in 2007 and he was a beacon of bright light, joy and energy. What I remember most today about him was his charm, wit, dazzling smile and the love that he expressed for his animals and for nature and trees, especially. He was tender -hearted and often expressed a vulnerability and rawness so profound that it was clear to me that we were brought together to heal the wounds we were dealing with at the time. He was one of my teachers and helped me know myself better. We shared a lesson of deep forgiveness through a glance during a difficult challenge that was of a divine magnitude. I am saddened by this news and will hold that sadness with the lightness that I experienced as his "true essence." I send prayers of healing to his family and friends during this time of deep loss. Rest in Peace... Sean and let that essence that you shared with so many continue to shine 'forward and beyond' like it did on the day I took that photograph of you out on the Boulder Plains just before you took flight on your Para-glider - which auspiciously (!) - someone chose as the photo for your obituary. It captures your essence perfectly!

Sean's inner light was always aglow, even during the difficult times. His charm and soul filled eyes drew even the clerks at Safeway in. His uncanny witt knew how to say everything so right and so wrong at the same time, filling you up with belly laughter.I told him many times we need to get you on the stage. The squirrels, birds and stars above gave him solace. In his legacy may we all take a moment like Sean always did to say hello and ask how someone's day is going. Sending so much love to his family during this difficult time.

Long ago, when visiting in Greenwich, I watched Sean as a very little boy climbing the kitchen shelving to reach a box of cereal at the very top. My eyes were wide as he said " it's okay, I do this all the time!" Fearless and determined from the beginning, he lived as he wished.Aunt Faye, Uncle Michael, Jennifer and Michele, I am so sorry for this terrible loss. Bless you all, love and peace.

To all who knew and loved Sean: He meant a great deal to many of us in New Orleans. Sean was so easy to love, and I feel very fortunate to have known him. He had a great heart, and was incredibly important to my son, Val. He knows why and how. I hope that the Marino family knows how much he meant to lots of people in the Big Easy. Martha Palmer

To the Marino family, my deepest condolences. I was extremely close with Sean and knew him in HS as well. Him
And I became very close in the past year and a half, and he always talked about how wonderful you were and appreciated your support. He always talked about how smart his dad was, and deeply respected his mom and dad and sisters. We always joked about how his mom had to drive him to my house last Christmas, and how he would make my teenagers laugh. He was an amazing person, an amazing friend to all, an amazing father and I had the utmost respect for him. It's a devastating time for myself. And I know it is for you. He left a deep footprint in every life he touched and he will be missed by so many. I wish I could be there in CO to express my sympathy in person but I could not leave my kids. I'm always thinking of him, and I will miss our 4 hour telephone conversations that felt like 15 minutes. I will be thinking about you, and If you should need anything, please do not hesitate to call me. With love, Laura Larossa

Sean: You were my very best friend. I don't know what I'm going to do with out hearing your voice and make me laugh. You were smart, funny, and could always make a good situation out of a bad one. I love you and will miss you so much
