Steven Steinberg Obituary
Steven K. Steinberg of Cos Cob, CT and Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away on July 19th, 2021 at his home surrounded by family after a brief and brave battle with an aggressive form of cancer at the age of 62.
Steve was born on October 7, 1958 in Troy, NY. He grew up in North Haven, CT where he played basketball and swam for his HS team. He was an Eagle Scout and graduate from The University of Connecticut. Steve was a 33-year employee of Prudential Financial, Inc. retiring as a Vice President in 2012. He and his wife Sindy founded Rosie's Frozen Yogurt in Greenwich, CT and on Martha's Vineyard in 2014.
Steve raised his family in Greenwich, CT where he was an active and beloved member of the community. It was no secret to his many friends that his greatest love was for his family. Steve touched many lives and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed for his friendship, generosity, sense of humor, mitzvahs and kindness. Steve had this incredible boisterous laugh that will be remembered by all.
Steve is survived by his wife Sindy, sons Brent, Dylan and David, his mother Ruth Ann, brother Howard, daughter-in-law Bailey and his large extended family. Steve was predeceased by his father Barry Steinberg.
Steve loved to spend time at his homes on Martha's Vineyard and in Florida but more than anything, he loved to spend time with his family and his dogs Lola and Gracie.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 22nd at 2:15 p.m. at Temple Sholom, 300 E Putnam Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830 with interment at Temple Sholom Cemetery, Memory Lane, Greenwich, CT 06831.
Mourning / Shiva will be observed at 850 Pacific Street Stamford, CT 06902 beginning Friday, July 23rd, at 1 p.m. through 3 p.m., and Saturday, July 24th, 6 p.m.–9 p.m.
Donations in Steve's memory can be made to Hospice of Martha's Vineyard.

My most sincere condolences to the Steinberg family. I worked in Steve's organization at Prudential for a long time and never worked for anyone I respected more. Steve and I enjoyed our Syracuse/UConn basketball rivalry and the small coffee bets we would make every winter. I remember driving up to Roseland on Steve's last day to tell him I admired him more than anyone I ever worked with. I've been retired since 2013 but never stopped thinking about our friendship.
