Bill Sarmiento. I first met your mother at her home in Chalan Pago, in January 1974. My brother John said we´re going to Bill Muna´s house and all the band members will be there. We were all excited and as soon as we arrived, your mom came out and greeted us, this was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. We all saw her; a very charming and pretty lady. Very hospitable, she prepared dinner and when the band completed their practice, she welcomed us into her home and we sat down and ate dinner. She made us comfortable and I knew from then that she was a kind and loving person. Since that day and until the last time we met, she has always been the same person-there´s isn´t anyone that doesn´t love or feel the same way we do about her. The Compadres band went on vacation to California in March 1975. Your mom´s brother lived in Lompoc (don´t recall his name). We arrived at his home and were welcomed, just like your mom when we first met at your home in Chalan Pago. My first time in California, there was about 10 of us and we all packed in and stayed at his home. We stayed there for two days, showed us the beautiful Danish community in town, bar-b-qued, and had a wonderful time. Your uncle and your mother´s kindness runs in the family and will never be forgotten. All her children have treated us with love and respect. The last time I saw your mom was at a hotel where the Mount Carmel Phoenix Stage Band played for a Christmas party. The kids played Hafa Adai Ginen Compadres, Nana Yan Tata, and Tulus-Galaide songs. After the three numbers, the kids went over and kissed your mom. Your mom teared, in a happy way. I went over with Mike Phillips and also kissed her. She teared again, and so did I. We didn´t say much but we knew from the bottom of our hearts that we´ve come a long way since 1974 and both miss your dad. Now, the island of Guam will miss this beautiful and wonderful lady. She´s now with her husband and families in heaven. God bless you Ann and our Lord will be there in heaven´s gate to greet you.
