Irene Marie Painter (90) passed away at home in her sleep on the morning of March 15, 2014 with her much loved companion Max, her dog, at her side. She was born January 20, 1924 in Boise, ID. to Fredrick Kunter and Ruth (Larson) Kunter.
She was one of 6 children. She grew up on 5 mile Farm. She married Charles R. Painter. She had a long career with Sear's, retiring from there. She was a lifelong resident of Boise. Irene had a soft spot for animals. She would feed them around the neighborhood. She had a kind heart, and will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents and brothers George, Glen and Gilbert Kunter, and sisters Dorothy Kunter and Ann McKell. She is survived by nieces Norma Davis, Korby Smith and Chris Smith of Idaho Falls, and Shauna Fisher of Salt Lake city. Brother-in-law Gary McKell of Washington and their families, stepdaughter Patricia Gandy of Florida and stepson Charles Painter Jr. of Tennessee and their families. We would like to thank all the caregivers that loved and cared for her over the years, they became her friends and family too. A Family tribute will be held at cemetery at a later date. Interment at Canyon Hills Cemetery in Caldwell.
