Janet Neace Obituary

CHAUNCEY, W.Va. — Janet Darlene Nickles Neace, 65, of Chauncey, went home to be with the Lord Tues., Nov. 26, 2013.

Born July 6, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Hazel Ellen Vance Nickles of Chauncey. She married Elvin "Frosty" Neace of Chauncey on May 8, 1965. She was a devoted wife and mother as well as a grandmother. She brought joy to those who knew her and maintained a positive outlook throughout her life. She dedicated most of her life to Beth Haven Christian School and Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She was a very hard working woman, strong and determined to overcome every obstacle. She will always be deeply loved and missed.

Janet was preceded in death by three sisters, Alberta Nickles, Linda Nickles Rogers and Dorothy Nickels, and one granddaughter, Sophie Isabella Neace.

Survivors include three children, David Barry (Jessica) Neace and Justin Bradley (Brandi) Neace, both of Verdunville, and Marsha Lynn Neace McCallister of Sod; seven grandchildren, Erin Nicole Neace Adams, Alexandria Paige Neace, Sommer Lynn Neace, Caitlin Marie McCallister, Colin Bradley Neace, Cody Austin McCallister, and Ansley Elizabeth Neace; two sisters, Ruth Nickles and Carol Nickles Gillman, and one brother, Don Nickles. There were many very special friends and loved ones in Janet's life; of those we would like to mention are Ashli Laing Neace, Cynthia Spry Neace, and Greg, Brian, and Andy Mullins.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sat., Nov. 30, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mansfield Dameron officiating. Burial will follow at Chauncey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions go to Beth Haven Christian School.
