Patricia Stripling
Mrs. Patricia King Stripling, 79, of Wewahitchka entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at home surrounded by her caring and devoted family. She was born on July 28, 1943 in
Gordon, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.T. And Kathryn King, daughters Pamela Suzanne Stripling and Stacy Lynn Stripling, her sister Gail King Price. She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate Mike Stripling, her son Steve (Lisa) Stripling, daughter Susie (Eric) Pitts, Grandchildren, Amanda McKenzie, Josh (Addie) Pitts, Michael Stripling, Jeffrey (Logan) Pitts, Brent Mears, and Cody Mears, Great Grandchildren, Sara McKenzie, Savana McKenzie, Ava Pitts, Gracynn Pitts, Addison Stripling, Jacob Pitts, Tatum Pitts, Jace Pitts, Shad McKenzie, Aubrey Mears, Carly Mears, Juanita Mears, Luke Mears, Gabriel Mears, and Eden Mears. She is also survived by her brother Buddy King and sister Myrt Brooks and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God where she was active with the Sunday School Department, Choir, and WM's as well as serving on the church board. Pat loved singing about Jesus and was faithful to share and demonstrate the love of Jesus through her acts of service and devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Pat was a servant of God and devoted her time to her family, church, and community.
Pat worked in the Gulf County School system for many years before becoming the executive secretary at Gulf Coast Electric until her retirement in 2007.
Pat has been a member of the GFWC Wewahitchka Woman's Club since 2008, serving a total of 15 years. She has served on the executive board and has held numerous positions to include Chaplain and Community Project Chairperson.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Wewahitchka, Florida with Reverend Joey Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM â€" 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in
Blountstown, FL.
