Susan Georgette Colson
Susan Georgette Colson, 57, gained her wings, joined her Heavenly Father and awaiting loved ones on August 31, 2021, surrounded by her husband and two surviving daughters. A lifelong resident of Franklin County, she was born on August 31, 1964, spending her childhood with her siblings enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Forgotten Coast. In early 1991, she gave her life to the Lord and found her Calling to the Ministry. Georgette could be found any day the church doors were open, from cottage prayer meetings to revivals, singing, praying and worshiping God. She and Joe married on May 6, 1991, and raised three girls to love their family, community and God. With a personality bigger than life and a greater love for God, she was always about her Father's Work, never meeting a stranger that she couldn't talk to and tell her story of Salvation. She was a loving wife and mother, trusted friend and great prayer warrior. Georgette will be missed dearly by those who loved her the most and the lives she touched with her funny laugh, strong faith and amazing courage.
She is preceded in death by her father, John E. Evans, mother, Sharon E. Tucker, sister, Shirl Evans and daughter, Jolene Colson.
