About

Francis Dugan Obituary

It is with love and deep respect that we announce the passing of Francis Timothy Dugan, Jr., known affectionately as Tim or FT on February 2, 2026.
Born in Seattle, Washington, Tim was the eldest of four siblings and grew up with a natural sense of responsibility and leadership that guided him throughout his life. When Tim was just 11 years old, his mother, Mary, passed away leaving his father, Francis Timothy "Pinky" Dugan, Sr., to raise four children: Mark, Bridget, Katie, and Tim. This early loss shaped Tim's resilience, maturity, and lifelong devotion to family.
Tim's adventurous spirit carried him far beyond Seattle-from service in the United States Marines to travels in Mexico and Korea, and eventually to Alaska, which matched his independent and determined nature.
Tim never lost his sense of adventure, humor or curiosity about life and had travelled to over 90 countries and 6 continents. He loved sharing those adventures with his friends and family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
A dedicated professional, Tim began his career with Graybar Electric in 1960, before founding Dugan Sales in 1981, continuing his commitment to honest work, craftsmanship, and strong relationships. Even after retirement, Tim remained active and engaged, embarking on a real estate career with Long Realty of Green Valley, Arizona, approaching work not just as a profession, but as a way to help others find stability and opportunity in their lives.
Service was central to Tim's life. He was a devoted Rotarian for over 50 years, in both Anchorage, Alaska, and Green Valley, Arizona. He was often the first to volunteer and extended his generosity to programs in South Africa and Mexico. Tim was generous not only with his resources, but with his time, always showing up for friends, family, and community.
Tim was married first to Mary, mother of his children and later to Twilah. In the later years of his life, he found a loving and devoted partner in Carol Pfister, with whom he shared 21 meaningful years as they continued to travel the world.
He was a proud father of five children: Michael, Teresa, Kathy, Peggy, and Joe, each of whom he loved deeply and spoke of with great pride. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark and daughter Teresa (2005). He is survived by his partner, Carol Pfister; his children, Michael, Kathy, Peggy, and Joe (Anna); his sisters, Bridget (Gillian McLean) and Katie; and his grandchildren, Cole, Abby, Leo, Madeline, and Hailey.
Tim will be laid to rest at the Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Marana, Arizona on March 17, 2026 at 1pm. Please arrive no later than 12:30 pm. Seating is limited, and standing room open to all. His family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on March 18th in Green Valley, Arizona to honor a man that will be remembered for his resilience, generosity, and unwavering kindness.
In memoriam donations can be made by check to: Valle Verde Rotary Club Foundation P.O. Box 311 Green Valley, AZ 85622. Please reference Tim Dugan and the St Andrews Clinic or the Cleft Palate Program.

Tim was what we call a "golden soul" in our spiritual study group, meaning he was a man of honor, integrity, diligence and fierce honesty. Most of all, he was a man guided by love and generosity. One winter he parked his camper in our back yard and quickly became a beloved member of the family. Just knowing him made us all better people. He even brought out the best in our dog. I am ashamed that I did not keep in better touch with him and wish I had expressed more appreciation for his friendship when I had the chance.

We had the pleasure of being neighbors to Tim since 2009. Being snowbirds we looked forwards every year spending time with Tim and Carol.

TIm was a man of integrity and generosity. TIm´s family can be proud of what Tim stood for. He always spoke so highly of his Children, Grandchildren, Sisters and Carol.

We were blessed to arrive back in Green Valley and got to spend time with Tim and Carol before his passing.

Our Deepest Condolences.
