Carolyn Hurst Braswell, age 65, of Buford, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Mrs. Braswell is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dwight Braswell of Buford, GA; daughter, Dwilyn Braswell (Ashley Knox) of Buford, GA; sons, James "Pee Wee" (Julia) Braswell, Jr. of Mt. Airy, GA, and Damen (Katie) Braswell of Braselton, GA.; grandchildren, Ashlyn Knox, Landon Knox, Chloe Braswell, Colton Braswell, Bridget Braswell, and Branson Braswell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Braswell was born February 16, 1958 in Sandy Springs, GA. She was a 1975 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. Mrs. Braswell was Office Manager for Pops Place Store on Holiday Rd. in Buford, GA. She was the matriarch and glue of her family. She was always doing for others and always respected other people and never looked down on anyone.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum Cemetery, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for Cancer Research in memory of Carolyn H. Braswell.
