Ms. Jean Davis Biggers, age 88, of Lawrenceville Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert "Bob" Biggers on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Jean and Bob were married on December 22, 1957 at Grayson First United Methodist Church in
Grayson, GA. She will be remembered and cherished by her two daughters and their husbands, Sharon Biggers Ellis (Chris) of
Lawrenceville, GA and Shelia Biggers Sosebee (Jim) of
Grayson, GA three grandchildren, Mallory Sosebee Cook (Mic), Amanda Irwin, and Robert Sosebee (Christine); great grandchildren: James Judah Cook, Eden Abigail Cook, Elijah Robert Sosebee, Eleanor Grace Sosebee; brother, Donal Davis: sisters in law, Anne Davis, Delaine Davis and Terri Biggers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of many friends over the years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Billie Bounce Davis and Snowdell Odessa Davis; brothers; John Davis (Anne) and Jerry Davis (Delaine); as well as father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otis A. Biggers and Laura J. Biggers; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Stubbs (Frank); brothers-in-law, William Phillip Biggers and Bruce Biggers. Jean was born in Buford, GA on March 18, 1937. She was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School, attended Dekalb College and received her bachelor's in education from Mercer University as well as her Master's from University of Georgia after starting her family with Bob. She retired from Gwinnett County Public Schools after 22 years as an elementary school teacher and Reading Specialist. She was a member of Gwinnett County Retired Educators Association (GCREA) where she served as President from 2006-2007. She was a devoted member of Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church where she was active in the Wesley Sunday School Class until her health kept her from attending. She taught Sunday School at various age levels throughout her life, facilitated Disciple Bible Study, and served in several leadership roles at Lawrenceville FUMC. She enjoyed traveling, Bible Study, playing Bridge, reading and gardening.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. This southern lady will be remembered for her devotion to her Lord and Savior, family and fellow mankind. A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Jean Davis Biggers will be held on Saturday, June 28,2025 at 2:00PM at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Adam Hilderbrandt officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, June 28th from 12:30PM until the time of service at 2:00PM. Those desiring may make a memorial donation in Mrs. Biggers name to Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church Trustee Reserve Fund or
