MARY SAVAGE Obituary

Mary Irene Millican Savage, age 90, of Lawrenceville, GA entered into rest on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Golden Living surrounded by her devoted family. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.M. Savage, Sr. in May, 1987, and a daughter, Peggy Sharon Savage. She is survived by two sons, William (Bill) Savage, Jr., of Lawrenceville, GA, Kenneth Savage, Sr. of Winter Springs, FL; three daughters, Phyllis Turner, Linda Collins and her husband David all of Lawrenceville, GA, and Brenda Miller of Buford, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Henry & Betty Millican of Buford, GA; one sister, Laura Spriggs of Norcross, GA; 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends are left behind to mourn her passing. Mrs. Savage was born on January 4, 1920, in High Shoals, GA to Julia Belle Tate Millican and Early Archibald Millican. She was a Charter Member of Central Baptist Church in Lawrenceville. Mary had a full life as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all that knew this wonderful lady. The Service Celebrating the Life of Mary L. Savage will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Thomas Haney and Captains Cameron & Paula Henderson officiating. Interment Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted.
