WARREN MEALOR

Warren Sidney "Sid" Mealor, age 55, of Dacula, Georgia, entered into rest on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Hospice Atlanta after a gallant fight to prostate cancer. He is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Brandon & Caitlin Mealor, granddaughter, Breana Mealor all of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters, Amelia Hughes of Greensboro, GA and Lyn & Johnny Wright of Lawrenceville, GA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and Brandon's mother, Victoria "Vickie" Lynn Daurity Mealor. Sid Mealor was born in Buford, Georgia, on August 4, 1955, to Charlotte Pass Mealor and Gladston V. Mealor. He was a 1973 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School and attended Georgia Southern University. Sid worked with his father, Gladston, at Plumbing Distributors, Inc. "PDI" since being founded in 1973 where he was currently serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board. Sid was a member of the Dacula United Methodist Church and loved to hunt and fish. Sid was a man of integrity who was good-hearted, honest and had such a positive impact on many people within his industry and community. This gentle man will be missed by his family and many friends. The Service Celebrating the Life of Sid Mealor will be held Sunday, May 22, 2010, at 3:00 P.M. at the Dacula United Methodist Church with Rev. Matthew Mitchell officiating. Interment Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. and Saturday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
