News Death Notice

PONDER, Ada M. age 76 of Hamilton passed away Monday September 5, 2011 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born April 4, 1935 in Cincinnati the daughter of the late Joseph and Sally (Smith) Tuggle. On May 5, 1973 she married Larry F. Ponder and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2011. Ada is survived by her four children, Vickey (Doug) Dickerson, Robert Starkey, Raymond Starkey, and Sylvia (Jed) Combs; twenty one grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and two sisters, Eva (Roy) Oliver and Frances Brown. Ada is also survived by Jean and Fred Ponder, her sister and brother in law. She had acquired some very special friends during her last few months of life; Fred and Jean wish to give a heart felt thank you to Geri Depew, Elizabeth Ponder, and Helen and Vicki Jackson. Ada was also preceded in death by her son Steven Lee Starkey and her daughter Brenda K. Brewer. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Friday September 9, 2011 from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jacob Flannery, officiating. Burial to follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. www.websterfuneralhomes.com
