I will always hold a great respect for Mr. Nori. Looking back I'm not sure too many other people could have influenced us in the same way he did. A very classy man with a flare of his own. From making it cool enough for Eric, Chris, Drew and I to take up the trumpet in gradeschool or at least making an attempt at it to prioritising and watching the Fighting Irish while in High School and the rides back to Oxford for College. It was always great to have the opportunity to see him perform at the Blue Wisp. He made the most amazing linguini with Clam Sauce which Eric continues to try to match. There are many more memories which won't be forgoten and am glad to have had the opportunity to have grown up knowing him.

Linda, you and Al were very special to me. I know Al will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I will always remember coming home from work and picking Brian up at your home and the smell of the greatest spaghetti sauce I have ever tasted! I always knew when Al had watched Brian because he wasn't hungry when he got home. I knew Al was feeding him anything he asked for. We could never leave your house until Al got home because he was bringing Brian a popsicle.

I hope that you will find comfort in the memories and the love that you shared. May God give you strength and comfort.

What memories are conjured as I gaze upon your photo, Al! The days living next door to your family's store on Michigan Avenue in the 50's....Your gorgeous mom's beautiful spirit...and your dad's amazing homemade spaghetti with the hand-cut noodles. Some of my favorite stories are those mom told about your childhood together. My grandparents, Charlie and Mary Helen Mathews, adored your family...I loved playing with Gloria...No matter how poor anyone was back in the day, Manuel always made sure no one left his store empty-handed. What a wonderful, sweet guy you are, sharing your gift of music with the world. What an amazing family from which you hailed! What a life well-lived...Blessings to all of you! No more pain....."Cookie"
