Anthony PATE Obituary

News Death Notice

PATE, Anthony J. "Tony" Of Fairfield was born November 2, 1970 in Hamilton, Ohio and passed away Friday July 10, 2015. Tony was a selfless, charitable, loving, and funny person. Everywhere he went, he left an impact on those around him. His smile would light up a room, and his laughter was contagious. Tony celebrated life every day and tried to capture every moment as it happened. He was an avid supporter of his hometown sports, and his favorites were the UK Wildcats, Cincinnati Bengals, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Badin Rams. He had a deep love for his family, and made everyone feel welcome and he never knew a stranger. He was a church member at the Springdale Vineyard Church and was consistently inviting family and friends to attend with him. He loved the Lord and in return he showed that love and compassion to others. Tony was the life of the party at every event. He had dance moves that would make you laugh into tears, and the family has videos to prove it. As Tony traveled, he became an expert in food tasting and considered himself to be a gourmet chef (and so did others). He tried every local restaurant and would rave about the food when he returned home. He traveled to some of his favorite places such as Charlotte, NC and Bristol, TN. He experienced every trip to the fullest and would enjoy some of his favorite things such as NASCAR racing, sight seeing, and historical sights. Tony had a pure and sincere love for people. His nieces and nephews were always excited to visit with "Uncle Tony". His family was top priority in his life, and he put them above himself. As he has gone to be with His Savior, he is survived by His parents Diane (Chet) Pogue, and Ed Pate Siblings Mark (Tina) Pate, Lisa (Doug) Marcum, Julie (Jason) Goldberg; Nieces and Nephews Nicole & Troy Pate, Kenzie (Matt) Miller, Kayla Marcum, Aj Pate, and Grace Goldberg. His huge and loving Pate family, extended family, many numerous friends, and his special friends Lafe and Lori. Preceeded in death by grandparents Frank and Ida Pate, Richard and Ramona Mueller, and cousin Danny Pate. Visitation on Thursday July 16, 2015 at the Lindenwald Baptist Church, 460 Symmes Road from 5:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Tyler Green, officiating. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Danny Pate Scholarship in memory of Tony Pate. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield is serving the family. www.websterfuneralhomes.com

Tony was a blessing to me when my mother was on her death bed. He sent me an airline ticket, from his frequent flyer miles, so that I could spend some quality time with her before she passed. I will be forever grateful for the kindness he showed to me and my family. He was a great guy and I know I will see him again because he loved Jesus.
