Her heart for serving continued with her volunteer work at Hamilton Living Water Ministry. While at Living Water, she was a Bookkeeper, Administrative Assistant, Volunteer Coordinator, and a member of the Administrative Board. She also enjoyed her time as a member of Delta Kappa Gama and the Amicitia Club. Mrs. Callen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Michael L. Callen. She leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. Ben (Linda) Walker, a son, Barry W. Callen and a daughter-in-law Patti Callen, a daughter and son-in-law Linda (Robert) Stanger, and four grandchildren, Robert "Bo" Stanger, Luke "Benji" (Renae) Stanger, Alexie Callen, and Paige Callen, as well as nieces, Stephanie (Randy) Scott, Terri (David) Lammers, Angie (Wayne) Edwards, and nephews, Benji (Shelly) Walker, Steve Callen, and Dennis Callen. She leaves behind special longtime friends, Janet Wadleigh, Pauline Feltner, and Mickey Evans who supported and encouraged her throughout her battle with alzheimers and other health complications. I knew Barb and Cliff from church. We were on the Education Committee together. They were both great people, and I admired them very much! My condolences to all of her family and friends.

Linda and Barry,so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She and your father will always hold a special place in my heart for their acceptance, mentoring, humor and for allowing me into the "family". What a great way to grow up. Your parents and your family were an oasis of thought provoking debate, music, love and caring, and absolute silliness and fun for a lot of kids.

Dear Mrs. Stanger, I'm sorry for your loss.
I just learned that one of my best mentor, confidant, and friend, began her journey home. She is and will always be in my heart. What most took for granted she took to heart, especially when it comes to child's ability to learn. Her famous word were CAN'T isn't a word and trying is doing things half way, then she would tell me, Doing now that's a word every one should know well. I will miss her very much.
