Barbara Lovejoy Obituary
News Death Notice
LOVEJOY, Barbara Gail age 64 of Hamilton passed away at Wellington Manor on Friday, April 24, 2009. She was born in Hamilton on September 18, 1944 the daughter of Lloyd Franklin and Grace (Atkins) Lovejoy. Barbara was voted Most Popular and crowned Prom Queen at New Miami High School, due to her inner and outer beauty. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to country music, and all animals, especially her cat Whiskers. Barbara was formerly employed as a bookkeeper at Trenton Municipal Building. She is survived by a son, James (Mickey) Pate of Oxford; a daughter, Natalie (Mike) Craft of Hamilton, a sister, Sylvia (Ken) Kunke of Tampa, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and special friends Gayle Morgan of Chicago, and Linda Vogel and Lynn Kinkaid, both of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Lloyd "Doodlebug" Lovejoy and Lowell Edwin "Buddy" Lovejoy; and two grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Edwin Beck pastor of McGonigle-Millville and Darrtown United Methodist Churches officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Wellington Manor, Ft. Hamilton ICU, and Vitas, and to all who cared for Barbara. She had a great sense of humor and her smile could light up a room. She will be greatly missed by everyone. www.browndawson.com

My thought and prayer to the lovejoy family. I took care of barbara both times she was at wellington manor. She was a wonderful resident she always spoke to everyone and was very nice

Barbara's family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Barbara and I were friends from our school days. A group of us "kids" ran around together on those hot summer evenings. She was so beautiful and funny. You have my sympathy.
