CAMPBELL, Bertha "Bert" Age 83, of Fairfield passed away at 2:40 a.m. on May 1st 2015. She was born in Hamilton, March 26, 1932 to Pierce and Helena Bryant. Bert graduated from Hamilton High school in 1950. She worked for Hamilton Oil Co. and Seasonal Systems for 25 years as a bookkeeper; she was also a merchandiser for American Greeting for 10 years; and was a volunteer for AARP tax service for several years. Bert was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton for over 60 years, serving in many different capacities. Her interests were varied; reading, any type of card games, mahjong, but especially bridge and she played bridge in many different groups. On July 8, 1961 Bert was united in marriage to Charles B. Campbell. They were married for 37 years when Charlie passed away in 1998. She leaves to her memory a son, Guy (Kim) of Lafayette, IN. and a daughter, Marla Dunman of Fairfield; five grandchildren, Zack, Janae and Kylie Campbell, and Ashley and Alex Dunman. They were the love of her life. Bert is also survived by her sister, Marilyn (Clay) Saylor of Biloxi, MS; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Mary Couch, and many relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday May 6, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield 45014. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. William C. Brantingham and Rev. Dan Clemens officiating.
