News Death Notice

NISBET, Charlotte (Chuckie) age 84, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at Rittenhouse in Middletown. She was born on December 18, 1925 in Howell, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Charles Monroe, and sisters Bette Fick and Helen Baldwin. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dr. Dick Nisbet and children Linda Lee (Pat) Mohan, Nancy (Chick) Fraunfelter, Paul (Ronda) Nisbet, Steve (Judy) Nisbet, Dr. Terry (Shawna) Nisbet, 20 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Betty (Bill) Clayton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Chuckie graduated from Howell High School in Howell, Michigan and Henry Ford School of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church serving as an Elder and a Deacon, a member of PEO, and a dedicated volunteer at Doty House (Abilities First). She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Chuckie was blessed with many special friends that she cherished throughout her life. She enjoyed attending various sporting events with her husband, especially those activities involving her children and grandchildren. Because of her humanitarian nature and medical background, she has chosen to donate her body to The Ohio State University School of Medicine. A visitation will be Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 6 8 p.m. at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin Street, Middletown. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Avenue, Middletown, with the Reverend Tim Doty officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Hospice, or the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Rittenhouse (previously McKnight Terrace) for the many years of outstanding care Chuckie received along with the Hospice care provided by Odyssey HealthCare.
