News Death Notice

LAMBERT, Donald J. age 57, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1953 in Hamilton, Ohio, and lived in Middletown most of his life. He was employed as an assembler for DMAX for 10 years, and had worked as a Field Erector for Voith Sulzer Machine Shop for 27 ½ years. He was a member of the F. & A.M. Blanchester Lodge #191, the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, York Rite Valley of Dayton; and the Antioch Shrine Temple. Preceding him in death were his parents, Donald Joseph Lambert and Alice (McIntosh) Long; one sister, Sandy Johnson; and his uncle, Bernie McIntosh. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jennifer (Woods) Lambert; one daughter, Rachel Eversole and husband Darin; one son, Michael Lambert and wife Melissa; two grandchildren, Makayla and Emily Eversole; and one on the way; one step-brother, Allen Shearer and wife Darlene; one step-sister, LuAnna Deaton and husband Blaine; two uncles, George McIntosh and wife Geraldine and Fred McIntosh; three aunts, Laura McIntosh, Jean McIntosh and Faye McIntosh; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, with Masonic services at 7:00 p.m. followed by funeral services with Nathan Hinkle officiating. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.

Don was a great, caring, and friendly neighbor to us. He always went out of his way to give a helping hand. I believe he truly enjoyed helping others. My deepest sympathies to his family and wife Jennifer, for I know they have lost a truly special loving person. He will be missed by many! May God heal your broken hearts and help your family become even stronger!

Jenny, Rachel and Michael and Families.... I am so sorry for your loss of Donnie. We will miss him not being here in person as part of the family. I think of the last time I saw him, he brought your mom down to see Randy in the hospital. That means a lot to me,that he would drive that far to come see us. He was a kind man.
