Family-Placed Obituary

THACKREY, Donna Age 75, of College Corner, passed away Monday evening, January 10, 2006 at The Knolls of Oxford. She was born October 31, 1930 in Oxford, Ohio, the daughter of Forrest and Marjorie (Damm) Haverty. On June 19, 1949 she married Melvin Thackrey and they enjoyed fifty six wonderful years together. She worked at various jobs, including as a bank teller for the Farmer State Bank. She also was a long time and active member of the College Corner United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband Melvin Thackrey of College Corner, and many many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the College Corner Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the College Corner United Methodist Church, 89 Church St., West College Corner, IN 45007 or to Vitas Hospice, 11500 North Lake Dr., Suite 400, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
