News Death Notice

RUARK, Garrett Floyde Age 85 of Hamilton passed away on Friday June 18, 2010 at Woodland Country Manor. He was born on December 7, 1924 in Firebrick, Kentucky the son of the late Emory and Mary (King) Ruark. On April 21, 1943 Garrett married Ethel Marie Hardin and she preceded him in death on August 11, 1991. Garrett was a retired supervisor for More Drop Forge and U.S. Army Veteran of WWII where he received a Purple Heart for is valor. He is survived by his children, Pamela (Jerry) Peters of Hamilton, Freda Benderman of Hamilton, Evelyn Ruark of Sprindale, Kathie (Richard) Arnold of West Chester, Garrett (Cindy) Ruark, Jr. of Williamsburg, Carolyn (John) Hutchins of Lowell, Arkansas and Michelle (Jim Bob) Duggar of Springdale, Arkansas; 31 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother Clarence Ruark and two sisters, Evelyn Stevenson and Freda Ruark. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday June 22, 2010 at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Moore and Rev. Andrew Olinger officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to be made in his memory to Bearing Precious Seed Ministry % First Baptist Church 1367 Woodville Pike, Milford, Ohio 45150.
