When George was in the room you knew you were going to smile that day. He had that unique ability to lighten your spirits and make everything fun for young and old alike. You never knew what to expect and looked forward to it with eager anticipation. He so enjoyed his friends and dearly loved his family. A role model for so many, firm in his beliefs, yet always fair and just. Your light has gone out now, but I wish you well as you travel your next journey with your beloved Ann. It was a true honor and a pleasure to have known you. Keep them laughing...Ronda Mishos

To the family of George McNally, I send
my condolences and appreciation of your Father's commitment to the Hamilton Police Dept.. When I was married to an officer who was conducting undercover work, Mr. McNally and detectives came to our home to explain to me the risk my husband would be taking. He had compassion for his fellow officers and their families. He also enjoy fishing in Canada with my husband and the Days.
Mr. McNally was a man of integrity and
enjoyed his career challenges.He will
be missed in our community, but not forgotten. My prayers are sent to all family members and friends.

I have known Mr McNally since I was 13. I am now 54. He made me smile, He made me think and sometimes He made me mad. Through all that I can say that He influenced and encouraged me to stand up and speak up for what I thought was right. For that I am grateful. I will truly miss Chief McNally.

I am deeply saddened at the passing of my former Council colleague and friend. George and I came on Council together in the early 80's. I always held him in the highest regard - even when our views diverged. He was a fierce fighter for what he believed in. When the going got tough, you wanted him in your corner. I will always have many fond, and cherished memories of our years together.
Rest in Peace Chief/Mayor.

My condolences to the McNally family during this time of grief from the Cash family of Dalton, Ga.
George was a very special police officer and my memories of him go way back to when he was a patrolman. His caring and kindness is what I remember most during the times he responded to some of our family emergencies during my childhood.
He will be missed as the kind and caring man that he was. I am sure I'll meet him again sometime in the future. God Bless!
