News Death Notice

FUNK, Grace (Morris) age 97, of Kettering, OH; died Wednesday June 2, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. Grace was born in Hamilton, OH on June 16, 1912 to William and Anna (Dew) Morris. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, an avid bowler, loved to work in the yard, and she and her husband Harold would have celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on June 7th. Grace was preceded in death by her brothers Emory "Babe" Morris, Herman Morris, and William Morris Jr., sisters Edna Stonecash and Margaret Harvile, a granddaughter Pam Long Zellmer. She is survived by her husband of 72 years Harold Lee "Dick" Funk; a daughter Kay Schoenberger and husband Nick of Middletown; a son Richard Funk and wife Sharon of Beavercreek; sister Wanda Cummins of Carlisle; 4 grandchildren Paula Bomgardner and husband Alan, Rick Long, Bill Funk, Brad Funk; great grandchildren Dustin and Nathan Long, Megan and Gunnar Bomgardner; three sisters-in-law, Millie Morris, Barbara Jenkins and Evelyn Morris; a brother-in-law, Howard Harville. Funeral services are 2pm Monday June 7, 2010 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St. Franklin, OH. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12pm until the time of the service. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Chapter or Hospice of Dayton.
