News Death Notice

BRYANT, Iva Arlene (Cornelius) died September 27, 2013 at the age of 86. Iva was born and raised in Williamsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Clint and Mae Cornelius. She was a realtor in Butler County in the 80's before starting a career with United Dairy Farmers, where she retired as a District Supervisor for the Middletown and Dayton divisions. Iva met the love of her life, Maynard Bryant, while growing up in Kentucky. They married and eventually moved to the Ross area where they raised their family and were active in many local Baptist churches. Iva loved to garden and cook but most of all she loved God and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. We were truly blessed to have her. She leaves to remember her; daughters, Carla (Jeff) Clark and Joyce (Terry) Moran. Grandchildren; Eric (Katie) Clark, Kate (Rick) Yerigan, Samantha (Dave) Wuchter, Mike Moran and Matt Moran. Great grandchildren; Beatrice Yerigan, Eleanor Yerigan and Emery Wuchter. Siblings; Cleta Platt, Carl Cornelius, Lori Bowman & Suzi Ball. She was preceded in death by her husband Maynard, parents, infant daughter June, and siblings; Ina, Charlie, Vasco, Roy, Bud, Ancil, & Tom. We would like thank the staff at Fort Hamilton Hospital, Schroeder Manor & Woodland Country Manor for their support and care this past month. Funeral services will be held at Brown- Dawson- Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rudy Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a local Hospice or food pantry. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
