Jack BERTSCH Obituary
News Death Notice
BERTSCH, Jack F. age 79 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:18PM. He was born in Hamilton on November 27, 1934 to Clarence and Grace (Watkins) Bertsch. Jack was employed at Armco for forty five years. On April 14, 1954 in Liberty, IN, he married Janet Burton, and she preceded him in death in 2003. He loved fishing, horse racing, golfing, and going to the casino. He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch, watching the Cincinnati Reds, and listening to his police scanner. He is survived by seven children; Denise Bertsch, Daniel (Brenda) Bertsch, Debbie (Dave) Bowling, Diane Bertsch, David (Lori) Bertsch, Deron Bertsch, Dustin Bertsch; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Hounchell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Kenneth Bertsch. Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2PM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 12noon - 2PM at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.

It saddens our hearts to know that a long time Friend, Dad,Brother,Uncle,Grandfather,GreatGrandfather and a Dad to many has passed. I've missed Freddy most by sitting there at his home on Heaton St, throwing his hand up and waving at all that passed by. Ole Fred was definitely one in a million. He gave the true meaning of being a family man a lesson well taught. I'm sure the Angels will be singing on high tonight. What a joyful reunion mom and dad are having there in heaven with our Gracious Heavenly Father and all those whom went before. You all have my warmest wishes and deepest condolences. This is not good-bye my friend, Just so-long.
