McCONNELL, Jack D. Age 60 of Ross, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born on June 20, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Lester and Josephine (Hamblin) McConnell. Jack attended Crosby Schools and served twelve years in the U.S. Army including two tours of duty in Vietnam. On November 4, 1967 he married Carol Crawford in Ross, Ohio. He worked as a supervisor for Pease for 28 years and was a member of the Local Order of the Moose, Hamilton Lodge #36. He is survived by his wife, Carol McConnell of Ross; his father, Lester McConnell of Crosby Township; two children, Carrie (Tim) Stone of Patriot, Indiana and Nick McConnell of Ross; one daughter-in-law, Robin McConnell of Brookville, Indiana; six grandchildren, Nikki, Heather, T.J., Elizabeth, Brandon, and Emily; two great grandchildren, Caden and Alexus; three brothers, Junior McConnell of Milan, Indiana, Bob (Betty) McConnell of Okeana, and Rick (Jackie) McConnell of Milan, Indiana; two sisters, Barbara Cope of Fairfield, Ohio and Linda (Bob) Weaver of Eaton, Ohio; one special friend, Kenny Lockwood of Ross; and many other loving friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine McConnell; one son, Jeff McConnell and one brother, Mike McConnell. Funeral services will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton-Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Monday at 9:30 a.m. with burial following in Venice Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made as a donation to help the family with expenses.
