News Death Notice
FRANCHINI Jane E. age 56, of Fairfield, Ohio died Sunday March 20, 2011 at 1:37 a.m. at her residence. She was born on November 2, 1954 in Lexington, Kentucky the daughter of Ira Rains and June Batchler Lewis. She was educated in the Cincinnati Schools and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph College with a degree in Nursing. She was employed as a R.N. in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield for 17 years. On August 8, 1997 she married Gregory T. Franchini. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by her gentle, loving caregiver and husband Greg; her children Amy Numrich, Adam Numrich, Andrew Numrich; her step-children Angelica Cope, Veronica Adams, Anthony (Krista) Franchini, Carmen Franchini and Alfred Franchini; 6 grandchildren Charlie, Diana, Ava, Luke, Samuel and Cecilia; also survived by many other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Ira Rains. Prayers will be Friday March 25, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home 3950 Pleasant Ave., Hamilton followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, with Fr. Larry Tharp officiating. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Maureen L. Fritsch Cancer Assistance Fund c/o Hamilton Community Foundation 319 North Third St. Hamilton, Ohio 45011; The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Arthur Richards and staff and her dear friend Sally Drabenstott for their excellent care and compassion for Jane. Greg, I am so sorry for your loss. Jane loved you so much and she will be the Angel watching over you, her daughter and sons, and both of your families. After many years gone by, I'm blessed to have seen my cousin in person. Jane still had that beautiful smile that she had as a child.

Our family and humanity lost an Angel today. As we weep for her, heaven wept for us but rejoiced to have one of their own home. Jane is at home with Jesus.
