John Kinder Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

KINDER, John Robert "Jack" Age 77, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2006, at Kettering Medical Center. His long-suffering against a multitude of health challenges is over and he is at peace once and forever. Mr. Kinder retired from Smurfit Stone Container Corp. after 40 years of service. He served proudly in the U. S. Navy, having entered at the tender age of 15. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish. The Kinder family wishes to thank the many friends and well-wishers from his church and the Middletown community for their prayers. Mr. Kinder was a fine athlete, a silky-smooth golfer, and card player at Wildwood Golf Club, and also was an avid reader. His many activities also included the Moose, Elks, American Legion, and VFW clubs. "Jack" was well known for his fine baked goods, and his hearty laugh. Our bellies will surely miss all that he produced, however, our hearts will be filled with special memories. Jack is survived by his loving wife Judith; one son and daughter- in-law, Mark and Shirley Kinder; two sisters, Joyce (Max) Wells, and Joanne (Lester) Creekbaum; one brother, Kenneth (Betty) Kinder; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and treasured friends. In addition to his parents, Florence and Robert Kinder, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Joseph Kinder. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2006 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Wilson- Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Msgr. Paul Metzger as celebrant. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Jack's life from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Wildwood Golf Club. Memorial donations may be sent to Holy Family Parish, 201 Clark Street, Middletown, OH 45042, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be sent to the family via our web page at WilsonSchrammSpaulding.com.

Emily and I read with regret of the passing of Jack. Jack had an unusual personality. He had the ability to bring a smile into everything he did and contact he met. He made the world a better place by just being Jack. Our prayers of comfort are for Judy and Mark tonight. Jim and Emily Webb

I will miss my Uncle Jack and his big laugh and iron grip hand shake. He was what being a Kinder is all about.

I'am very sorry to hear of Jack's death. I miss seeing you and Jack at the 4:30 Mass at Jt. John's Church. I know I did not know you and Jack that well but I always thought that the two of you were a great couple. I will remember you in my prayers.

Judy, you & Jack were not only co-workers but you were dear, dear friends. We didn't get to spend as much time together as we would have liked but the phone calls & e-mails have kept us in touch. I'll miss Jack's Christmas cards with his eloquent hand-writing.

God bless you Judy, you were Jack's angel on earth. You two had what most people search a lifetime to get.

Love you. . your friend,

Betty

My most heartfelt sympathy to all my in-laws at this saddest of times. My memories of Jack are vivid, even back to when I first met him--on leave from the Navy and after his elder brother, Richard Eugene, and I were married. He and "Gene" were close and now I feel they are together again. I'm so sorry I am unable to travel at my age to attend his services, but my son, Richard, Jr.will be there and I will be there in spirit. My love to all, Millie

Mark,

I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Although I hadn't seen him since I was a little kid(over on Aberdeen),I remember him as a very kind and fun loving man. My thoughts are with you and your family.

On March 10th, my sweet husband, Joe, will have been gone 31 years. Every time I heard Jack laugh, I could also hear his little brother, Joe's, laugh again. Jack Kinder was one of the most gentle, kind men I've had the pleasure to know. I'm so pleased he had the opportunity to have Judy in his life as his devoted wife. She was his special angel throughout his illness. He left a legion of friends along with his loved ones. God Bless.

My Uncle Jack was a very classy individual. He will be missed dearly. If one would ask to put a face or define the character of a Kinder, I couldn't think of a better ambassador. Sincerely, Cary Kinder

Dear family:

Joyce and Joanne and cousins Sue and Buck, who all know me, and to all of his love ones.

I remember Jack so well when we were teenagers.

Although I haven't seen Jack in many years, I remember him fondly as a person full of life who enjoyed his friends and family.

I want to mention his love for his country as well. To go to war at 15 was certainly a gallant thing to do.

God Bless,

Sincerely, June
