News Death Notice
DEATON, Kenneth Lee "Shag" Age 68, of Middletown, OH passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1948 in Highland Park, MI the son of Stanley and Evelyn (Thomas) McQuinn. Kenneth retired AK Steel where he worked in Maintenance. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda Sue (Tucker) Deaton; his son, James Allen Deaton; daughter, Lisa Renee (Don) Manning; seven grandchildren, Josh, Ashley and Austin Deaton; Samantha, Corey, Alexis and Shelby Manning. Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Society. My brother - I love you so much. I know you are in heaven with your parents and mine. Your smile will light up the golden gates of heaven . I will never forget what you said to me the day my Mom went home to be with the Lord. You told me she had an express ticket to heaven. I know you are with our Heavenly Father he will watch over my sister Sue - you are the love of her life. Jimmy and Lisa your Dad was amazing. This is not goodbye for me I will see you again in heaven. Let's all smile more because Kenny lived and touched our lives . God be with my family who loved Kenny so much.

Oh, what a ball we had working together out at AK Steel in East Processing. Those wonderful memories will always be in our minds. So sad you left us early but I know you are "lighting up" heaven as we speak. Where there is sadness, love plants wonderful memories that will get us through these sad times.
