Larry HAMBLIN Obituary
News Death Notice
HAMBLIN, Larry J. age 62, passed away at home on Tuesday April 17, 2012, after a long and courageous battle surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Alta "Faye" (nee Smith); devoted father of Tim (Fran) Hamblin, Hudson, FL, Karen (Preet) Singh, Monroe, OH, Tracie (Mike) Metz, Liberty Twp., OH, and Tina (Mark) Yelton, Liberty Twp., OH; loving grandfather of Ashley Wilkerson, Candace Jones, Bradley Samay, Kendall Metz, Gage Metz, Ty Yelton, and Trent Yelton; great grandfather to London Rose Jones, due June 2012. Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jim (Kathy) Hamblin, Carl (Rhonda) Hamblin, Ike (Joyce) Hamblin, Doug (JoLynn) Hamblin, Carol (Ray) Kuykendall, Barb (Willie) Kilburn, Tammy (Richard) Estep all of Hamilton, OH and Rick Hamblin of Orlando, FL. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Harriett (nee Baker) Hamblin and his sister Carlie Mae Smith. Larry enjoyed many years of fishing, golfing, and spending time with family on "his" property. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the many doctors, especially Dr. Chad Dunkle; Senior Independence Hospice, and all the caregivers for the love and devotion to Larry during his illness. Visitation will be Friday, April 20, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 225 Ludlow Ave., Hamilton, OH 45011. Memorial contributions in Larry's name may be given to First United Methodist Church. Condolences may be given at www.avancefuneralhome.com

Larry was a great guy to work with and he gave me much good advice over the years.My only complaint after working and playing basketball with Larry was,"he never passed the ball to me". Maybe that was because,he was a much better player.Larry, you will be missed,but never forgotten. Peace,love and faith to your family.
